Vintage Norcrest Mermaid Wall Plaque Pink Shell MCM Japan 1950s P116

Straight from an enchanted seaside dream comes one of the rarest and most sought-after Norcrest mermaids! Nestled inside a shimmering iridescent clam shell, this darling little sea siren looks as though she’s peacefully drifting with the ocean tide. Her eyes are gently closed, her long fluttery lashes brush her rosy cheeks, and her graceful outstretched arm gives her the sweetest serene expression. With ruby-red lips, soft blonde hair, and a delicate pink tailfin curled beneath her, she is simply irresistible.

The shell glows with beautiful pearly iridescence, making this charming plaque sparkle from every angle. She’s sure to steal hearts and become a treasured piece!

She measures approximately 5” x 5” and is marked P116 Japan.

Condition:

She has a crack through part of the shell, but it does not appear to affect the structural integrity of the piece. There are also a few tiny flea bites along the shell’s edge, consistent with age. Despite these imperfections, she displays beautifully and remains a wonderfully rare collectible. Please examine all photos carefully and I added blue arrows to show areas of damage, ask any questions you may have.
