Vintage Holt Howard Pixieware Scotch and Rye Decanter Set MCM Barware Japan

Oh, what a delightful pair these are! This rare matching set of Holt Howard Scotch & Rye decanters is overflowing with the playful personality and irresistible charm that made Holt Howard one of the most beloved names in mid-century collectibles.

Each decanter features the sweetest, most expressive tipsy face, and wonderfully sculpted details that give them a personality all their own. Their cheerful expressions and styling make them look as though they’re ready to join the party, keeping watch over your favorite spirits with a grin that never fades.

The Scotch decanter still retains its original musical mechanism. Simply insert the music box into the base, wind the key underneath, and after all these decades, the mechanism shows its age—it still produces a few musical notes but no longer plays the complete tune. It may simply need a bit of adjustment or tuning, though I can't say for certain.

Each decanter measures approximately 12 inches tall and is in wonderful vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The Scotch decanter has some age-related crazing please view photos, which is common in vintage ceramics and blends naturally into its character. The Rye decanter has minimal crazing. Both decanters have normal age-appropriate wear, lightly worn corks, and a small rough spot on the back of each head (please see all photos).
