RARE Vintage PY Miyao Anthropomorphic Crying Sad Pear Head Planter Vase with Bow 1950s Japan Kitsch
This is an extremely rare and hard to find planter/vase made by PY Japan in the 1950s. Adorable figural planter is in the form of a sad crying Pear with large eyes and tears streaming from her eyes, has a pink/purple polka dot bow on the side of her head. Marked Miyao Japan with the Napco symbol. Measures just under 5” inches tall and 4" wide. This one is in Excellent condition with NO Chips, NO Cracks, has a couple rough spots around the bottom rim in the front that is glazed over and along upper rim on right side, there is discoloration on the inner rim inside the planter and don’t know if it is from the painting process of the stem but want to point these out. Minor crazing. Colors are bright and the glaze shiny. This one is incredibly rare and hard to find and in such great condition. You will be happy with this one!!
