Vintage Anthropomorphic Norcrest Blue Cat Butter Dish RARE 1950s Japan Kitsch

Very RARE vintage 1950s blue cat butter dish made by Norcrest in Japan. The blue kitty cat is the lid and is sleeping on a pillow that is the plate. The blue color is a very pretty baby blue and the kitty has a pink bow around her neck and a pink and blue flower by her ear. Kitty’s face is adorable with her eyes closed, long eyelashes and pink nose with whiskers!! Butter dish measures approx. 6 1/2" long by 3" wide and 3 1/2" high. This is one of the harder to find rare pieces from the Norcrest Blue Cat series.  that we've never seen before. Item is in really good vintage condition with NO chips, NO cracks to the cat (cat is in excellent condition). The butter dish plate does show signs of wear with discoloration and on the back left corner there is repaired cracks (please look at the photos carefully as they part of the description) but the item is very solid and sturdy and the repair does not take away from this piece as it is in the back and the cat displayed beautifully. Item is stamped CT-7.  Glares on pictures are from camera, it has bright colors and a rich shiny glaze. You will be very happy with this one!!
